Exploring the Great Outdoors: NSW’s New Camping Campaign

In a bid to entice adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts, Destination NSW has joined forces with the Caravan and Camping Industry Association to launch an exciting new marketing initiative titled ‘Feel More, Live More’. This campaign aims to showcase the plethora of camping and caravan options available across the state, highlighting the beauty of NSW’s 400 holiday parks.

Following a successful holiday season that saw NSW’s holiday parks boasting an impressive 81% average occupancy rate, the focus now shifts to promoting year-round visitation. Minister for Tourism, John Graham, emphasized the pivotal role of the caravan and camping sector in bolstering the state’s visitor economy, with a target of achieving $91 billion in annual expenditure by 2035.

With NSW leading the country in domestic overnight caravan and camping visitors, nights, and expenditure, the campaign seeks to capitalize on the state’s natural allure and diverse landscapes. CEO of NSW Caravan and Camping Industry Association, Lyndel Gray, highlighted the appeal of camping against the backdrop of scenic wonders, encouraging holidaymakers to plan their next getaway and immerse themselves in the charm of regional NSW.

The ‘Feel More, Live More’ campaign, an extension of Destination NSW’s Feel New brand, is set to feature prominently on television in NSW and neighboring regions, followed by a digital push targeting key areas. Acting CEO of Destination NSW, Karen Jones, underscored the significance of camping experiences in driving regional tourism, offering an opportunity to unwind amidst breathtaking locations and partake in memorable adventures throughout the year.

As the campaign unfolds, it aims to inspire more visitors to explore NSW’s holiday parks beyond the traditional peak season, fostering sustainable growth for local businesses and communities. By showcasing the array of attractions and activities available, ‘Feel More, Live More’ seeks to reignite the spirit of adventure and appreciation for nature among travelers.

So, if you’re ready to embark on a new outdoor escapade, consider the scenic wonders and boundless adventures that camping in NSW has to offer. Let the ‘Feel More, Live More’ campaign be your guide to discovering the hidden treasures of regional NSW and creating unforgettable memories in the great outdoors.
